Cowboy Boots and Books
Howdy y'all! What did the rooster say to the elephant? Well, we can all ponder over this later because I have rather good news: I make an excellent country person.
I went to a cowboy themed party yesterday. (It was fun. Tre was a bonfire, square dancing, people in boots) Many people complemented my outfit, which of course consisted of a cowboy hat, jeans and brown boots. I was quite the country rocker, if I do say so myself.
Back to the whole point of this blog: I've never been able to keep a journal before. To much work. So I figured, why not start one on the Internet? Everyone loves the Internet. And so, from the request of many, here I am... Writing an entry to a journal which no one will read... Lovely.
BUT! I do have a rather exciting thing to say! I just finished Kingdom of the Wicked by Derek Landy.
Derek Landy of course, is one of my favourite authors, next to Michelle Paver and J.K. Rowling. The way he writes makes everything sarcastic and witty and humorous.Oh, great Lord Derek Landy, I cannot wait until I am able to get a book signed by you.
Have to go get my costume ready for the book signing, so I'll pop over later.
Until next time,
Lupin.

The Daunting First Post
All was well in my household. I had pulled up a chair and my laptop rested comfortably in lap. I was typing up a short story about Lycanthropes (werewolves, for you who don't know what that word means) and it was going along swimmingly. Until I had a severe and sudden case of writer's block. I have no idea how it came to be, but the creative juices stopped and so did my typing.
Before I started to sob and wallow in self-pity, I checked my favourite blogger's website and jumped for joy at the sight of a new post. There, I spotted a button...
This button, this thing, which has in fact brought me to create this blog of sorts, was intriguing to say the least. It glowed abnormally, (not really) it placed me in a hypnotizing trance (not really) and forced me to write this first piece.
As an unprofessional writer, I felt that this blog could maybe my ticket to something bigger. Thus, me tapping away on my keyboard, a mug of water next to me and some sort of possum glaring at me through the window.
Here, O Wise Blog Reader- that is going to be your name from now on. You'll love it, I swear- I will chat about things, randomly, but mostly about books and movies. Mostly books though, since I don't go out a lot.
Now that things are official, I would love for you to address me as Lupin. Why, you may ask? Lupin means wolf... And my favourite 'Harry Potter' character's name is Lupin. Okay, I realize you need to go. But I'll let you go now, after this, really this time. Read all of this WHOLE entire post in a posh, Britain accent. It sounds rather hilarious.
Until next time,
Lupin.
